FOUNDING ENGINEER - ROBOTICS
Role Summary
In this role, you’ll be at the core of our robotics development, contributing to everything from system architecture to real-world deployments. This opportunity is ideal for those with a technical background – whether from industry, academic research, or a recent graduate program – and who are excited about building practical, high-impact robotics applications.
Key Responsibilities
Core Robotics Development
- Design, prototype, and test robotics systems in line with Xolver AI’s vision of intelligent machines.
- Collaborate on developing robotics architectures, algorithms, and control systems.
- Innovate and experiment with new techniques, with opportunities to apply the latest findings from academia or your own research.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to integrate AI, computer vision, and other technologies into robotics applications.
Research and Applied Innovation
- Stay up-to-date with the latest in robotics technology and research, applying innovative approaches to advance Xolver AI’s capabilities.
- Leverage any academic or research experience to contribute insights and theoretical knowledge that can shape practical applications.
- Drive or participate in continuous learning initiatives, fostering knowledge-sharing within the team.
Product and Prototype Development
- Contribute to developing proof-of-concept models, prototypes, and functional systems for early-stage testing.
- Collaborate with the product team to align development with real-world applications and customer expectations.
- Test and iterate on systems to ensure robust, scalable performance in real-world conditions.
Collaboration and Knowledge Sharing
- Be part of a culture that bridges academic learning and industry application, contributing ideas and knowledge at all stages of development.
- Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team, bringing fresh insights and perspectives to problem-solving.
- Share findings, ideas, and recent advancements in robotics with the team, encouraging a research-driven approach to innovation.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Ph.D. in Robotics, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field. Recent graduates are encouraged to apply.
Skills
- Knowledge of robotics architectures, control systems, or motion planning.
- Experience with programming languages commonly used in robotics, such as Python, C++, or ROS.
- Familiarity with computer vision, machine learning, or AI integration in robotics systems is a plus.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Eagerness to learn, experiment, and contribute in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Academic experience, internships, or projects focused on robotics, AI, or automation.
- Experience in research, with an interest in applying academic insights to practical solutions.
- Prior experience or exposure to collaborative, cross-functional projects is a bonus but not required.
