Why this role matters

Xolver / Infrastructure for Autonomy

Role Context

What this role actually is.

This is a full-time internship for a Physical AI Engineer in a hybrid format, based in the Greater Delhi Area. As an intern, you won't just be training models in a vacuum; you will be responsible for bringing "brains" to "bodies." You will design, develop, and test AI algorithms that interact with the physical world. Your work will involve closing the loop between perception and action, solving challenges like low-latency inference on the edge, sensor fusion, and real-world robustness. Collaboration with cross-functional teams to implement state-of-the-art solutions—from simulation to hardware—will be a key part of your role.
Scope of Work

The Actual Work.

01

Model Development

Build, train, and fine-tune neural networks for tasks such as spatial awareness, object manipulation, and trajectory prediction.

02

Edge Deployment

Optimize AI models for real-time performance on edge computing hardware (e.g., NVIDIA Jetson, Coral).

03

Sim-to-Real

Work with simulation environments (Isaac Sim, Gazebo, or PyBullet) to train agents before deploying them to physical hardware.

04

Data Pipeline Engineering

Help curate and preprocess multimodal datasets (Video, LiDAR, IMU, etc.) for physical task learning.

05

Prototyping

Rapidly iterate on software-hardware integration to solve complex engineering challenges in real-world scenarios.

Who tends to fit

You have a "builder" mindset—you enjoy seeing your code move things in the real world. You have a strong physical intuition and understand how software interacts with physical constraints like latency, noise, and mechanics. You are eager to work at the intersection of cutting-edge AI and robotics.

What we expect

  • Core AI: Strong foundation in Neural Networks, Computer Vision (CNNs, Transformers), and Reinforcement Learning.
  • Software Engineering: Background in Computer Science with proficiency in Python (PyTorch/JAX) and/or C++.
  • Robotics Frameworks: Familiarity with ROS2 (Robot Operating System) or similar middleware is a significant plus.
  • Physical Intuition: Ability to understand how software interacts with physical constraints (latency, noise, mechanics).
  • Academic: Ongoing or completed degree (B.Tech/M.Tech/PhD) in Computer Science, Robotics, AI, or a related field.
  • Preferred: Experience with multimodal LLMs.
  • Preferred: Knowledge of NVIDIA Isaac Lab or specialized robotics simulation tools.
  • Preferred: Previous experience with 3D computer vision (Point clouds, NeRFs, or Gaussian Splatting).
  • Preferred: Contribution to open-source AI or robotics projects.
